Dolgor Ch.
The Society was founded in 1960 by the initiative of Professor Ch. Dolgor. Since its founding, the society has been actively working to improve the theoretical and professional skills and practical experience of dermatologists throughout Mongolia, protect their professional rights when necessary, provide support for scientific research, and promote new medical achievements.

In June 2000, the Ministry of Justice granted the NGO Certificate No. 1720/1005235, granting legal capacity and allowing S. Lkhundev to work as Chairman of the society.

Tsogtsetseg A.
Since 2003, the General Director of the Mongolian Society of Dermatologists Tsogtsetseg A. has been appointed as the Chairman of the society. During this time, major changes were made to improve the internal order of the society, expand external relations and bring it closer to the international level. In 2006, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Justice issued a Certificate of Authorization to Run the Journal of Dermatology and published its first issue. In 2011, the Mongolian Society of Dermatologists was admitted as the 100th member of the International League of Dermatologists Society (ILDS).

Chronology of the Society
1960-1980

In 1960, the society was founded with Professor Ch. Dolgor as its very first Chairman based on the recommendation of Professor M.A. Rozentuli.

Since 1961, theoretical and practical meetings have been regularly organized.

In 1974, the renowned German professor and medical doctor Klein Natron participated in the meeting of the Society of Dermatologists, giving a report on fungal diseases.

By 1978, 40 meetings had been held, 63 issues had been discussed, and 1046 medical specialists participated in the meeting.

In 1978-1980, Mongolian doctors participated in the meetings of the society held in Dresden, Germany; Warsaw, Kraków, Świnoujście, Poland; Moscow, Leningrad, Yekaterinburg, and Irkutsk, USSR.

1980-2000

A cooperation agreement was signed with the Bulgarian Dermatological Society, with N. Mikhailov playing a key role, and B. Khandarmaa, a doctor from Mongolia, improved her skills in Bulgaria.

2000-2004

In June 2000, the 'Ministry of Justice' received the certificate of non-governmental organization No. 1720/1005235.

On the initiative of T. Yadamsuren, the leading members of the Society were approved and Doctor of Medicine, Clinical Professor S. Lkhundev was appointed as the Chairman of the society.

Leading members: Sh. Myagmarjav, B. Khansuren, Ch. Javzansuren, Byambaa.

In 2003, at the meeting of the leaders of the Society, Tsogtsetseg A. was appointed as the Chairman.

2004-2008

Registered as the 100th country in the internationally recognized (ILDS).

The Society collaborated with the Rehabilitation Department of Samsung Hospital, Republic of Korea, to pioneer the development of cosmetic surgery.

The Society received a Certificate of Authorization from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Justice to operate the Journal of Dermatology and published its first issue.

2008-2012

The International Society of Dermatologists implemented the TITAN project at the National Center of Dermatology and introduced its distance learning diagnostic technology.

A cooperation agreement was signed with the Department of Dermatology, Seoul National University, to provide professional development training to 2 doctors per year.

2012-2016

2016-2020

In 2012, the Society of Dermatologists of Mongolia established a partnership with the World Dermatology Society and obtained its certification.

In 2013, 6 doctors participated in the annual meeting of Singapore Dermatologists.

In 2013, the 'Dermatology-Today' seminar was organized, and professors from the Department of Dermatology of Seoul National University (HEE CHUL EUN, KEU HAN KIM, OH SANG KWON) gave interesting presentations as guest speakers.

In 2014, the Second Congress of the Society of Dermatologists of Mongolia 'Key to Dermatology' was held in Ulaanbaatar. During this event, Professor JIN HO CHUNG, a lecturer from the Department of Dermatology of Seoul National University, gave an interesting presentation.

In 2014, 2 doctors and 4 resident doctors from the Society of Dermatology Plastic Surgeons of Mongolia participated in the 2014 Korean Dermatology Society Congress.

In 2015, 13 medical delegates attended the 23rd ILDS conference held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

2020-2024

In 2021, 6 members of the society participated in the Korean Dermatological Plastic Surgeons' Conference. They gave a presentation on unique treatments for skin whitening diseases.

In 2022, 12 doctors participated in a 144-hour advanced training course at a very discounted membership price in collaboration with the Department of Immunology and Allergy of the RUDN Institute of Advanced Studies, Russia.

In 2022, ILDS membership was renewed.

In 2023, more than 10 doctors from Mongolia participated in the 25th ILDS Congress held in Singapore, and 3 of them were selected as poster presentations. As the society became a member society of ILDS, it registered and participated at a discounted conference fee.

In 2023, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare submitted a list of 41 skin diseases that are not covered by insurance to the Ministry of Health, which enabled it to provide funding for these diseases.

In 2023, 2 doctors and 4 resident doctors from the society members participated in the Korea Dermatological Plastic Surgeons Congress.

In 2023-2024, the criteria for Health Insurance billing were submitted for 36 skin diseases.

In 2024, 1 physician and 3 resident physicians from the society's members participated and gave presentations at the annual meeting of the Korean Society of Dermatological Plastic Surgeons.

A training seminar on 'Itch and pain management in skin diseases' is being organized on August 17-18, 2024.
